How To Invite Users Into Your Organization

Introduction

Inviting users into your organization in Farsight® is a simple process. Anyone who needs access in your organization must first be invited by an organization admin.

Open Users Page

  1. Hover over your account name

  2. Hover over Settings

  3. Click on Users, roles and permissions

  4. Use the search bar to see if the user already exists in your organization

  5. Check the Invited users list to see if the user has already been invited

  6. Click on the Invite user button. A pop-up window will appear

The Invite user button opens a pop-up window where you can invite the user and set their role.

  1. Check that you are inviting the user to the correct organization

  2. Input the user's email address

  3. Pick the role for the new user. Choices are between Operator, Supervisor, and Admin

  4. Click on the Invite user button

Operator role

An Operator only has access to specific sites. You will have to define the user access level later on.

Supervisor role

A Supervisor can view and make changes (write permissions), but only within the Sites they’ve been granted access to. They can delegate access to others for the Sites they themselves have access to. For Modules, they can access and delegate everything except Billing.

Admin role

An admin user has full access to manage your entire organization in Farsight®. This means that the new user will be able to view all sites and also onboard new power plants into your organization.
