Introduction
Onboarding GE wind sites into Farsight® is a quick and easy process. Follow the steps below to have your assets available in a matter of minutes.
Requirements
Farsight® Admin account
Pre-Shared Key, Remote IP, and Remote Subnet
Certificate File and Private Key File
Adding a Connection, Sites, and Assets in Farsight®
Go to: Asset Manager > Asset Manager
Open the Asset Manager module and go to the Asset Manager page
Click on + Add Connection
3. Select Wind
4. Click on the Next button
Log in and Connect
Select General Electric from the Select manufacturer dropdown
Add the Pre-Shared Key, Remote IP, and Remote Subnet
Optionally, you can open the Advanced Technical Specifications configurator
Go to the Next page
Add Power Plant
Input the Plant Name
Add the OPC Server address
Fill in the Username and Password
Upload the Certificate File and Private Key File
Click on Test Connection and wait for the test to pass
Go to the Next page
Add Assets
Click on your newly added Site
2. Select which Assets you want to onboard into the site
3. For each selected asset, you must select the desired Model
4. Click on Finish
You will see all newly onboarded assets in the Asset Manager
