Global Dashboard Configuration

Introduction

Farsight® Dashboard Module allows users to customize the way they consume their data. Previously, you had to manually adjust each and every widget you added to your dashboard. Now, you have the choice between manually adjusting each widget individually or setting global configurations.

Steps

Go to: Dashboard

  1. Open the Dashboard module

  2. Create a new Dashboard

  3. Start adding widgets to your newly created dashboard

4. From the Assets dropdown, select the desired assets you want to target for your new dashboard

5. From the Calendar dropdown, select the desired time period for the data shown in your new dashboard

6. The majority of widgets will automatically start showing data for the asset you selected above without having to edit the widget parameters individually

7. Some widgets might throw an error warning: “Global configuration not applied”, in which case you will have to edit the widget parameters individually. In the image below for the Asset Info widget, this exact error was shown because we chose the Site at the global level, but the widget Asset Info expects a singular asset i.e. a singular wind turbine

Global Configurations

  1. Open the Assets dropdown, and you can see how many assets are available for your dashboard widgets. In the image below, we have 16 sites with a total of 44 individual assets

  2. Select which global asset you want to use for your widgets. You can select the whole site or any individual asset below it

  3. You can also filter your dropdown results by:

  • Technology - Solar or Wind assets

  • Country - filter for the country assets you desire

  • SPV - Legal Entities
