Ardexa Onboarding

Onboarding Ardexa connections to your Farsight® account is a straightforward process that can be completed within a few minutes. The quick onboarding reduces the onboarding time from weeks and months to under 15 minutes, allowing for a seamless and efficient setup.

Requirements

  • Farsight® Admin account

  • Ardexa API URL

  • Workgroup

  • Ardexa API Token

Adding a Connection, Sites and Assets in Farsight®

Once you have the requirements above, you will need to use the onboarding wizard to add a connection and then add your sites and assets.

Go to: Asset Manager > Asset Manager > Add Connection

1. Select Solar

2. Click on the Next button

Log in and Connect

1. From the dropdown select Ardexa

2. Check the Network Requirements. You need to ensure that you have at least 1 Mbps upload speed, 2 Mbps download speed and 100 ms latency to use Farsight® effectively

3. Enter the Ardexa API URL

4. Add your Workgroup

5. Enter your Ardexa API Token

6. Click on Test Connection to make sure everything is working. This is mandatory to be able to proceed to the next step. If successful, then you can proceed to the next step and add a power plant. If the test fails, recheck your inputs and then contact us if you are still experiencing issues

7. Click on the Next button

Add a Power Plant

1. Select one site from the list

2. It is recommended that you select the import date for the site so that Farsight will automatically import the historical data for your assets.

3. Click on the Next button to go to the next step of adding assets

Add Assets to a Connection

1. Click Add Assets

2. Click on which individual assets you want to add

3. Select a Model

4. Select a Cabin

5. If no cabins exist, Add a Name to create a new one

6. Click + Add New

7. Choose whether to import historical data or not. If you want to import data, you can choose to import from the last month, the last three months, the last year, or up to 10 years. Depending on the subscription tier you are using, some limits may apply

8. Click Finish when done

View Assets

After you finish adding your assets, you will be automatically taken to the Asset Manager page.

1. You can see all the assets you have added

2. View the asset type. In the picture below we can see that we have added a cabin type asset

3. If you added an asset in error, you can remove the individual asset by clicking on the trash can icon

To see what is inside each individual cabin asset, simply click on its name.

1. Here you can see the Name of the assets inside the cabin

2. Here you can see the Type of assets inside the cabin. In the example above, they are inverter type assets

3. Here you can see the individual Model of the assets

4. Here you can see the power output capability of the asset in megawatts (MW)

5. From the Actions column, you can choose to delete any asset by clicking on the trash can icon
