Automa Onboarding

Integrating Automa assets into Farsight® is an easy and quick process, provided you have the necessary information ready. Farsight® aims to reduce the time spent onboarding assets from weeks and months to under 15 minutes, so you have your assets ready at a faster pace.

Requirements

  • Farsight® Admin account

  • API URL

  • API Key

Adding a Connection, Sites, and Assets in Farsight®

Once you have the requirements above, you can use the onboarding wizard to add a connection and then add your sites and assets.

Go to: Asset Manager > Asset Manager > Add Connection

1. Select Solar

2. Click on the Next button

Log in and Connect

1. From the dropdown, select Automa Power SunOp API

2. Enter your Automa Power SunOp API URL

3. Input your API Key

4. Click on the Test Connection button.

5. Once the connection is successful, click Next

Add Power Plant

1. Select a site from the list

2. It is recommended that you import the historical data for the site.

3. Click on the Next button to go to the next step of adding assets

Add Assets

You will be taken to the Asset Manager page after clicking Save and Proceed. From here, you can now see your new Automa connection.

Sites Page

Here you can view all existing connections, including the newly created Automa connection.

1. Click + Add Sites to add new sites

2. Choose the site you want to add

3. Select the time period for Data Import

4. Click Save

Add Assets to a Connection

1. Clicking into the site of your choice takes you to the Assets screen

2. You can click Add Assets

3. Check the checkboxes for all the assets you want to import

4. Choose the Sensor

5. Select the Model

6. Choose a Data Import timeline from the dropdown

7. Either select a Cabin from the dropdown or add a new one

8. Click Finish to add the assets

Note: Sensors are located at the bottom of the list, so make sure to scroll down to add the sensor while adding the asset to be able to assign it to other assets later.

View Cabins

Once you are done adding the assets, you can see them on the screen.

1. Click the Asset to view the inverters inside with their details

2. You can edit the Custom Data, including the latitude and longitude

3. Click on the Trash Can icon to delete the asset

4. Data Management allows you to recover the missing data

View Assets

You can click any cabin to view assets inside it.

1. Click the Pencil icon to edit the custom data for an asset

2. Delete an asset by clicking on the Trash Can icon

3. Data Management allows you to recover the missing data

4. Use + Add Assets to add more assets to your cabin

Add Sensor to an Existing Asset

1. Click on the Pencil icon in the Custom Data field for your desired asset

2. You can find the option under the Sensor tab

3. Choose the desired sensor from the Associated Irradiance Sensor dropdown

4. Click Save to save the changes
