How To Use Work Orders

Introduction

Farsight® allows you to create new Work Orders on any assets you have onboarded in your organization. You can use these work orders to implement and track operational work such as maintenance, performative maintenance or legal obligations. This will offer you a clear timeline on all work performed for your power plants.

Steps

Go to: CMMS > Work Orders

  1. Open Work Orders

  2. Filters:

    • Assets: You can filter existing work orders by assets

    • Scheduled Dates: You can filter by the dates used to schedule the work order

    • Status: Open, In Progress, On Hold, Closed. You can modify the status from the table

    • Source: Asset Management, Contract, Event, Legal Obligation, Other

    • Type: Inspection, Preventive Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, Service, Troubleshooting, Other

    • Supervisor: The person from your organization responsible for overseeing the work performed

    • Sort Items: ID, Status, Type, Source, Supervisor, Closed

    • Timeline View: toggle on/off and choose either Month, Week or Day

  3. You can search for any work order by using the ID or Title

  4. To generate a new work order, click on the Create Work Order button

  5. The table includes all work orders with all relevant details

  6. The actions column enables you to edit or delete any individual work order

Note: The timeline View can filter and display only Scheduled Dates
