How To Enable SMS and Email Notifications

Introduction

Farsight® allows you to set up alarm triggers and receive notifications whenever those alarms activate. To enable SMS notifications, you must first verify your phone number.

Steps

Go to: Alarms > Alarm Triggers > Edit Alarm

  1. Open the Alarm Triggers Module

  2. Edit an alarm by clicking on the pencil icon.

Enable Alarm Notifications

  1. Open the Alarm Notifications pop-up window

  2. Email Notifications:

    • Check the Email Notification checkbox to enable email notifications

    • From the dropdown, select which users should receive email notifications. You can select multiple users or even all users in your organization

  3. SMS Notifications:

    • Check the SMS Notification checkbox to enable SMS notifications

    • From the dropdown, select which users should receive SMS notifications. You can select multiple users or even all organization users who have a verified phone number

  4. Click OK to proceed

  5. To save changes, click Save Configuration
