How To View Dynamic Yaw Deviation Analysis for an Asset

Introduction

Farsight® allows you to view the Dynamic Yaw Deviation Analysis for the wind assets added to your organization. This makes it easy for you to identify any underlying power generation issues.

Steps

Go to: Wind Analysis > Dynamic Yaw Deviation Analysis

1. Hover over Wind Analysis from the left-hand side menu

2. Click on Dynamic Yaw Deviation Analysis

3. Choose your desired asset from the Asset dropdown

4. Select the desired timeframe from the Calendar dropdown:

  • The maximum allowed timeframe is one year

  • Free tier can access data only up to the last 3 months

  • Time frames are limited, depending on the availability of your historical data

5. Nacelle vs. Wind Angle | Yaw Deviation:

  • It maps the average angular deviation between nacelle orientation and wind direction over the selected period

  • The vertical lines on the graph represent Moderate and Severe deviations. Minor deviations are excluded

6. Clicking on any line on the graph loads the data on the right-hand side for a better view. Hovering over the graph loads the Yaw Deviation for the chosen time with

  • Severity

  • Nacelle Angle

  • Wind Angle

  • Yaw Speed

7. Significant Deviation table shows moderate and severe deviations with

  • Timestamp

  • Nacelle Angle

  • Wind Angle

  • Deviation Magnitude

  • Yaw Speed

  • Severity Level

8. Hovering over the three dots on the Nacelle vs. Wind Angle | Yaw Deviation graph allows you to either export or expand the graph
