Enercon UA Onboarding

Introduction

Integrating Enercon turbines in Farsight is a quick and straightforward process. Follow the steps below to have your assets available.

Requirements

You need to have this information ready before you start the process:

  • Farsight® Admin account

  • Your username and password for the Enercon centralized server

  • Site-to-Site VPN credentials, if using

  • Your OPC server address and credentials (if necessary)

We handle everything else automatically.

1. Creating Enercon UA connection

Once you have the requirements above, go to the Farsight® web app at https://farsight.app, and follow this path:

Go to: Asset Manager > Asset Manager > Add Connection

First, you must select which type of connection you want to establish. You can find Enercon UA under wind connections.

2. Select Technology

1. Click on Wind

2. Click the Next button

3. Log In and Connect

1. Choose Enercon UA as the manufacturer

2. Choose your connection method by clicking on it

3. If you choose Cisco AnyConnect VPN, enter the VPN Username and the VPN

Password. In case of Site-to-Site VPN, enter Pre-Shared Key, Remote IP, and

Remote Subnet

4. Click Next

The process usually takes between 3 to 5 minutes, and you can see the different activities we are performing.

5. Click Next once the VPN connection has been established

You do not need to set up more than one Enercon UA connection and start the new connection wizard again. One is enough, and you will be able to add all your Enercon power plants to it using the asset manager.

4. Add Power Plants

Once the connection is added, you need to add the first power plant (site).

1. Enter the selected name in the Plant Name field

2. Enter the link to your server in the OPC Server field

3. Add username and password in the Username field

4. Enter the password in the Password field

5. Choose the import settings from the Import Site data for period dropdown

6. Click Test Connection

You can also select the data import period if you want to import data. Testing the connection is compulsory, and the plant would not be added without this step.

7. Once the test is successful, click Next

Note: When importing historical data, we can only import existing data going as far back as the original source allows. If your site has only been connected to the Enercon UA web portal for three months, then we can only import three months of data.

5. Add Assets

Add the assets you want, or you can do that later from the Asset Manager

1. Click the checkbox for each asset you want to add

2. Click the Select Model dropdown to choose the model

3. Click on the Data Import dropdown to choose the import settings for the asset.

4. Click Next when done.

5. Next, confirm your selection, and after clicking Finish.

View Assets

Once you have added the Enercon UA, you will be redirected to the Asset Manager screen. You can view the assets you just added by following these steps:

1. Click on the Connection

2. Click on the Plant

3. You can view the assets you recently added

4. Click on the Data Management dropdown to recover missing data for the assets

5. Click the +Add Assets button if you want to add more assets
