How To Access the Logbook Module

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Introduction

The Logbook Module takes care of all the important events by keeping them in one place. It allows you to track them, filter for different assets with timestamps, and perform different actions.

Note: This data should not be edited or changed. However, if a user edits or splits them into smaller parts, or merges them (under specific circumstances), or restores them to their original shape, it is possible to see the history of all the changes the user performed on each status.

Steps

Go to: Logbook

1. Open the Logbook module

2. Select one or more assets to view their event logs

3. Choose a period from the calendar (Free plan includes up to 90 days)

4. Use filters to narrow results by:

  • Duration โ€“ show events by custom duration

  • Status Code โ€“ display only specific codes

  • Type โ€“ select event categories (Warning, Info, Maintenance, Fault)

  • Device Type โ€“ filter by manufacturer or model

5. Adjust display options:

  • Sort and Group events (by Device, Item, or None)

  • Enable Statistical Mode (requires grouping) to show duration percentages

  • Enable Gantt View for a timeline view of all statuses

Note: This data should not be edited or changed. However, if a user edits or splits them into smaller parts, or merges them (under specific circumstances), or restores them to their original shape, it is possible to see the history of all the changes the user performed on each status.

6. Export results or use pagination to browse older entries

7. Click links in the Site or Asset columns to open the corresponding SCADA page

Tip: Use Gantt + Statistical Mode together for fast root-cause analysis and downtime pattern review

8. Use the Dictionary button to view the glossary

9. Select the desired asset by clicking on the Select Device Type button

10. Choose from the list of assets
